Addressing the Roots Beneath the Symptoms

From the very beginning of my work in Ayurveda, and in my own life since childhood, I have been deeply engaged with the mental and emotional dimensions of healing. I could sense how thoughts, emotions, and unprocessed experiences lived in the body and shaped our health, vitality and sense of power.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping has become one of the most powerful and essential tools in my work as an Ayurvedic Doctor Level Certified (ADLC). I began integrating EFT into my practice over 15 years ago to quickly and gently reach the emotional root of an issue where true and lasting healing often begins.

What is EFT Tapping?

EFT Tapping is a simple yet profound self-healing technique that involves gently tapping on specific points on the body while bringing mindful attention to sensations, emotions, beliefs, or experiences. These points correspond with the body’s energy system—and from an Ayurvedic perspective, are called marma points - places where body, mind, and consciousness meet. (In Chinese Medicine, they are referred to as acupressure points.)

When we tap, we are not forcing change. We are meeting ourselves exactly where we are in the present moment. We are listening to the body, calming the nervous system, rewiring the subconscious mind and creating safety for our bodies and minds to soften, release, and reorganize from the inside out.

Like Ayurveda, EFT honors the body’s innate intelligence and capacity to heal.
How I Use EFT in My Work

I integrate EFT Tapping through an Ayurvedic lens, always considering the unique constitution, nervous system state, and the lived experience of the person in front of me.
Many clients start their journey with me through EFT Sessions, while others are introduced to EFT as we integrate it into our Ayurvedic Sessions and Programs.

EFT allows us to work skillfully with:

  • Emotional patterns that contribute to physical symptoms
  • Stress, nervous system dysregulation and overwhelm
  • Procrastination and addictive patterns
  • Limiting beliefs
  • Sleep challenges
  • Chronic and acute pain cycles
  • Traumatic past experiences held in the body
  • Digestive and other health issues
  • Patterns leading to sleep challenges and chronic depletion
The list of what we can use EFT on is really limitless.

Pain and dis-ease is rarely just physical. The mental and emotional response to discomfort (fear, frustration, hopelessness, vigilance) can amplify and perpetuate symptoms. 
Through tapping on marma points while identifying sensations and emotions in the body, I help clients calm the nervous system, interrupt old patterns, and restore a sense of safety and regulation.

I have witnessed clients move from debilitating pain, sometimes unable to be touched, to complete freedom of pain that never returned, simply by releasing deeply held shame, fear, and unresolved trauma from the system.

In corporate settings, I share EFT as a tool for effective communication, leadership, self-care and navigating change to foster a healthy and supportive work environment. I also offer EFT during corporate retreats as part of their mind-body wellness initiatives.

One of the reasons I love EFT—like Ayurveda—is that it is a self-healing tool. I don’t just use EFT with my clients; I teach it in a way that empowers you to work with your own system between sessions, in real life, when stress, pain, triggers or emotions arise.

This work builds somatic awareness, encourages mindfulness and restores trust in your own capacity to meet yourself with presence and acceptance.

My work bridges ancient wisdom with a somatic understanding of how healing unfolds when the mind, body, and nervous system are gently brought back into relationship.

Through decades of self-inquiry and clinical practice, I have become deeply attuned to the subtle emotional and energetic landscape of others. I hold a grounded, sacred space where clients feel seen, met, and safe enough for real healing to happen.
